On March 27, 2021, ITRA will once again present the OPSF 50|50 at Owen-Putnam State Forest in Poland, Indiana. Billed as “The Toughest Race in Indiana,” the OPSF 50|50 this year includes a 50K race and a 14-mile “fun run” this year. Runners traverse a 14-mile loop course that is 90% single track with a few sections of fire road. Unfortunately the 50 miler will not be offered this year but will be back in 2022. The 50K still offers a great challenge for all runners.
Putting on a race of this size, scope and magnitude requires a large number of dedicated volunteers. If you cannot race that day, or just want to hang out with other trail bums in the woods, please consider volunteering. ITRA encourages its members to volunteer their time at races by rewarding top volunteers and providing bonus points to Indiana Trail Racing Series participants.
For more information, and to register for the race, please check out the OPSF 50|50 website.
Volunteers can sign up here.
There are also 2 training run opportunities which can be found on the My Calendar 1-23 and 2-27 or look on ITR Run Central.
